K Block Merlot

TarraWarra Estate K Block Merlot is sourced from a north-west facing block on clay loam soils well suited to producing grapes in the preferred estate style.

K Block Merlot was first released in 2008. The low yielding vines deliver balanced fruit with varietal expression. The grapes are fermented over six days in a French oak foudre with full malolactic fermentation.

The resulting wine is aged for 18 months in 20% new French oak puncheons and barriques.

Deep crimson, TarraWarra Estate K Block Merlot has opulent dark fruit flavours, distinct tannins and firm structure. Cellaring potential is seven years.
